The N.A.P is a non-profit making organisation that invests in education and developing the profession so that one day it will receive the respect and support it richly deserves.
The NAP are actively working with the Department of Health on writing standards for Phlebotomy training, they are also working on a number of projects aimed at raising the profile and status for Phlebotomy as a profession, which includes developing and expanding the Phlebotomy fields of practice.
To support the forthcoming implementation of National Standards the NAP offer a wide range of services which will meet and exceed the National Occupational Standards.
We can offer:
- Paediatric Phlebotomy Training For existing Adult Phlebotomists (working in a Paediatric setting)
- Training the trainer
- Training the trained
- Dealing with procedural anxiety
- Legal and professional issues for the unconscious, paediatric, confused and mentally ill (Phlebotomy related)
- Workshops on subjects tailored to individual needs
- Consultancy, advice on Phlebotomy equipment, working areas, safe practice, setting up Phlebotomy clinics / teams.
- Assistance with Policy development
- Troubleshooting
Our qualified teachers provide all courses; evidence of learning is given which can be used to support elements to N.V.Q qualifications. We offer training in Sunbury (near Heathrow), which has good access for trains as well as being close to the M25, alternatively we can travel to you for group training and consultation work.
Workshops can be designed around your Hospitals individual needs and can be cost effective when issuing invitations of attendance to other healthcare establishments within a commutable distance.
