This fully revised training manual and assessmet book aims to ensure that all phlebotomists employed by NHS Trusts throughout the UK and Northern Ireland work to specific identified procedures or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The period of training lasts approximately 6 months, leading to an assessment conducted by the Phlebotomy Manager or recognised Department Training Instructor and External Assessor. This will be a recognised professional registered by the National Association of Phlebotomists (NAP).
